MANHATTAN, Kan.

He was on a construction site when a fire broke out on an overpass.

The man had been cleaning out the overpass when a large piece of the road exploded, and he had to fall.

Firefighters helped him out of the wreckage, but he was not breathing when he arrived at a hospital.

He told his father the next day he felt like he had died, his father said.

The man is a construction worker in his 30s who suffered from asthma and other respiratory problems.

He had been working in the construction industry for about two years.
